Low value personal injury report, no relevant previous medical history, small volume medical records (<60 pages), detailed pre-medical questionnaire completed (typed) by claimant prior to assessment and transmitted to me via my secure link.

A typical example would be a claimant involved a RTA and suffering neurological symptoms as a result of head injury. Claimant attends A&E and discharged home.

Consultation and examination
(longer if questionnaire not completed)

               45mins                            £225
Review of up to 60 pages of
medical records

           0.5-1 hour                    £150-£300
Preparation of report
   45mins-1.5 hour                    £225-£450

Total estimate

                   £600 -£975

Even low value claims can vary significantly in the time it takes to prepare a report. It will take longer to interview a claimant who has not completed the pre-medical questionnaire accurately or legibly and is vague regarding the duration and severity of his/her symptoms. The report will therefore be more expensive than in a claimant who suffers a similar accident but completes the questionnaire in detail, and gives a precise account of all the symptoms/disabilities which he/she feels are due to the accident.
